NOTD: Blue Birds

I have a whole bunch of untried polishes in my steadily-growing collection that I have been meaning to try out. Since I was in the mood to wear blue (even though it has a tendency to stain) I grabbed two polishes and put together this blue bird look.

Not only did I get to wear a polish that may be have become one of my favorite blues EVER, but I also got the chance to try out the MoYou London plates that had JUST come in the mail!

Last month, as a birthday present to myself, I ordered three MoYou London stamping plates. I'd been seeing a lot of nail art designs using these plates in my feed lately and wanted to grab some for myself.

When the mail arrived with my MoYou plates, I was JUST working on painting the base colors of this look. My pinky and pointer show 3 - or was it 4? - coats of Blue Marks the Spot from the Maybelline Color Show Polka Dots series, with no undies. The other fingers show 2 coats of  Butter London's Blagger, which I absolutely fell in love with. Great formula and an AMAZING shade of royal blue. <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 I'll have to rave over it in a review and swatch post sometime soon.

Since  I was now in possession of my new stamping plates, I wanted to find something simple that would match the blue scheme I already had going on. Suki 08 had this bird pattern on it that fit perfectly <3 I am in love with the MoYou plates and want to collect more once I have the money to spare.

Products used in this manicure were:
  • Blue with Black and White hexes (pinky and pointer): Maybelline Color Show - Blue Marks the Spot
  • Royal Blue (middle, ring, thumb): Butter London - Blagger
  • White stamping: Konad Special White
  • Stamping Plate: MoYou London - Suki 08
I'll probably do a reveiw sometime this week for the MoYou London plates that I got.  Have you ever used them before? Do you love them as much as I do?

Oh! And as a heads up, if you're a Butter London fan like I am, they're currently having a 50% off Last Orders sale! There's a whole bunch of great polishes available. I wish I had money to pick up more polish ;_;

    1. Thank you! I think that stamping just takes a bit of practice\, so try , try , try again!

  2. Those glitter fingers balance out the stamping beautifully! I'd be curious to know if that blue will stain (or maybe how bad it will stain). I've had absolutely no luck finding ones that don't stain!

    1. Thanks! I was worried about staining, too, but when I took it off earlier this week, I found that Blagger (the blue) is one of the only deep blue shades that I've ever used that had little to no staining. Win! Add in the fact that it's the perfect cobalt blue, and I'm in love. Bonus is that I had picked it up for 50% off during one of the Butter London Last Order sales
