A few days ago, I got a fresh batch of nail polishes in the mail. Among them were the December 2013 and January 2014 polishes from Enchanted Polish.
Today's nail art features December 2013, a lovely nude holo with hints of pink and gold. While I was swatching the polish , the color reminded me a lot of silk stockings or lingerie, so I just had to throw together some nail art to match.
I looked through my stamps to find something that I could use to make lingerie for my nails. I only have two stamping sets at the moment, but luckily I had one corset-like pattern and several leave-like patterns among them. Combined with the corset pattern, the lace looks like a pair of stockings. <3
I'll write more about the polish itself when I post my swatches /review layer in the week, but the smooth finish and the subtle shimmer of the holo was perfect for the silk-like look.
The corset stamp turned out a bit crooked by the base of my nail, but it didn't bother me enough to go through the trouble of removing it and repainting. Oh well!
Products used in this manicure were:
- Nude holo base color: Enchanted Polish - December 2013
- Black stamping: Konad Special Black
- Stamping Plates: Pueen Love Elements plates 27 (lace) and 29 (corset)
Nude colors are a big trend at the moment. Some people seem to think the colors are a bit boring, but I like to find ways to spice up them up a bit. Have any of you used nude and neutral colors as a main color in your nail art?
